PSI/PCI Cylinders

Michel took his first breaths underwater over 40 years ago. From 2007-2014, he owned and operated, an award winning PADI 5-Star IDC Center that he later sold. He is currently the owner of Absolue Plongée, which offers highly specialized SCUBA training. His teaching credentials include: he is a PSI-PSI Instructor, DAN Examiner, PADI Master-Instructor, EFR Instructor Trainer, IANTD Trimix Instructor, Tec Rec Technical Instructor, TDI Technical Sidemount Instructor and an Equipment Technician.

In 2016, he was nominated as a PADI Ambassador and Fellow of the prestigious Explorers Club (FI’16). He has since been granted the honor of carrying two Explorers Club Flags for his scientific missions to Clipperton Atoll. In 2018, he received the Explorers Club Citation of Merit, awarded in recognition of "exemplary accomplishments in Field Science and Conservation". His other dive related credentials include: Associate Member of the Boston Sea Rovers, Brand Ambassador for the Huish Outdoors group (Bare, Zeagle, Atomics, Hollis, Oceanic and Sthalsac), 22 degrees and Stream2Sea. He is a guest speaker in major North American dive shows and an internationally published underwater photojournalist and expedition leader.

Aside from diving, he worked in construction engineering as a designer and general manager of field operations for international mega-projects. He was also an officer and instructor in the Infantry for the Canadian Army.
